Lobitos is a faded ghost town in the desert wastelands of Peru. It was once a very wealthy area due to its vast oil reserves owned by British Petroleum. But eventually the oil industry nationalized and this town fell to the wayside and was reclaimed by the dusty desert. However, in recent years there's been a new discovery - world class surf - and this has brought the town back to life.
